Begonia Lotusland is a large rhizomatous plant with very large olive green leaves. It has the largest begonia leaf I have grown.It has light pink flowers in winter. It is a Rudy Ziesenhenne hybrid. It will grow into a huge specimen if given the room.

Begonia Lulu Leonard is a cane type. It has large green leaves with some silver spots on a sturdy medium tall plant. The flowers are fairly large clusters of a strong pink.

Begonia luxurians is a species with a shrub habit. It is a large, strong grower with palmlike leaves and white flowers. PLEASE NOTE: We sell small, immature plants- a young luxurians looks quite different from the mature plant pictured here. They will grow into the distinctive luxurians shape.

Begonia Luxurians Hybrid came to us as the species b. luxurians. It is not, but it is a lovely and unique plant that looks as if it must be its offspring. It has lovely light pink flowers and is easier to grow than its presumed parent.

Begonia luzonensis is a distinctive foliage rhizomatous type from Asia. It is beautiful with big pink flowers. It likes it warm and grows well in the greenhouse but might do better in an enclosed situation, like a bowl, in the house. New Item 2014.

begonia Making Waves is a Thompson hybrid. The leaves are reddish-green and splashed with silver. It is low growing and beautiful.

Begonia malabarica is a thick stemmed type, also sometimes placed in the shrub category. It indeed has thick stems with medium sized, long, bright green hairy leaves. It has white flowers in winter and is easy to grow.

Begonia Malachastricta is a beautiful shrub begonia. The dark green leaves have red serrated edges. It is a striking plant. Oddly enough our specimen has lost the distinctive spots the plant is known for.

Begonia Manus is a lovely plant that is a hybrid of b. soli-mutata and trailing-scandent b. theimae. It has somewhat iridescent, intensely purple and green pustulated leaves. A very good plant.
