Horticultural Description
King of Yellows is an epiphyllum, or orchid cactus. It has large yellow flowers on an easy to grow plant. It flowers in the spring in the greenhouses, and intermittently outside in the summer. Best grown dryish and cool in the winter. It is sold as a fully rooted plant of flowering size- a plant that can be almost ignored in a light cool window for the winter.
“In our Lake Erie greenhouses, this cultivar produces its most vibrant foliage when given consistent morning light and steady warmth. When your order arrives, allow it to settle for 24 hours in indirect light before potting up into fresh, airy potting mix.”
